Jun 29, 2025NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The City of Nacogdoches has asked residents to limit unnecessary water use while repairs are being made to a water treatment plant.
According to the city, the Surface Water Treatment Plant is facing electrical issues after a transformer was struck by lightning.
The city asks residents to conserve water for an estimated 48 hours while crews actively work to repair the transformer.
The city’s Water Utilities Department will provide updates as the situation progresses.
